June 27th is National PTSD Day

June is a very special, and emotional, month for me personally. It's a time to reflect on how far I've come, and how far YOU have come living with PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The condition that we battle from within. It's invisible to others but very visible to us. Derty Yoga loves our community so much. Through our outreach and our blogs we show care for others and we share information in support of YOU, our customers, our community, our friends and our family.

We especially want to show our love and appreciation for those who have PTSD in a really special way. What better time than this Thursday, 27 June, National PTSD Day!

If you, a friend, or family member have PTSD please come to the studio and purchase any of our class plans for a discount:

First time visitors with PTSD - 10% off

First Responders (with ID) - 30% off.

As I talked about in my last blog for PTSD month, PTSD is "A disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. The condition may last months or years, with triggers that can bring back memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and physical reactions.

In my personal case I have complex-PTSD, "Experienced repeated trauma over a long period of time". I experienced prolonged abuse/trauma throughout my childhood into my 30's. I'm always here to share my story for anyone who wants or needs it. I am a Mental Health Coach for this very reason....I am "called" to share with others in the hope of helping them as they walk through their darkness into the light. You will find, and feel, hope, love, self-worth and light. 💚

Please come on Thursday and take a yoga class, or at the very least, purchase one for your discount and enjoy the benefits yoga will have on you - body, mind and spirit. 💚

I hope you have a great week and allow us to help you in a way that will bring peace, care and balance to yourself.

Hugs! 😘
