Hi Friends. It's been a while. Too long actually. We've missed you here at DERTY Yoga.
Our hearts are heavy for all who experienced tragedy and heartbreak with Helene and Milton. 😢
There are never enough, or the right words to express what we feel when terrible things happen like this. It's sad. It's frustrating. It's scary. But in the midst of it all, it can also be hopeful. It can be caring and loving. At times like these it brings communities together. It gives an even more meaningful testimony to "Love thy neighbor". Strangers, friends, family, neighbors, all coming together to help those in great need whether it's digging out 4 feet of sand, mud, and sludge, bailing out a ton of water, cleaning mold, dealing with drywall, re-roofing or new drywall. People using their own resources to help others. It's been beautiful to witness. ❤️
We don't always know our strength and resilience until something major happens. We can fall down in despair or stand tall and trudge through it knowing there is good on the other side. It will take time, no doubt, but it can and will be done. We are a people of determination, hope, love and care for others. Opening our doors to those in need of a place to stay or providing food for those who are hungry. THAT IS WHO WE ARE. Underneath our day-to-day tough exterior or masking our internal hurts, we want our neighbors and communities to be ok. We want them to have a safe clean home and food to eat and a car to drive. We stop at nothing to ensure these things happen. THAT IS WHO WE ARE. THANK YOU to all who stepped up and continue to. Not all heroes wear capes.
We WILL get our beaches and communities back how they should be. Our perseverance together just proves that.
I am so proud to live here and feel the love around me. Don't ever stop loving others. Always live with by the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". It's so simple when you think about it.
DERTY Yoga would love to see you take time for YOU. Come enjoy a Stress Relief or Restorative Yoga class and let yourself feel peace and tranquility. If you feel hyped up and want to burn off some energy with a little more movement come to a Power Yoga, Vinyasa or Pilates Fusion class.
